Senior Project Engineer

JOB OBJECTIVE

To manage assigned projects from initiation to project completion. Coordinate, liaise with internal & external stakeholders

Project Management

§  Prepare Project Management Plan (PMP) for assigned projects

§  Deliver projects in accordance with approved PM plan

§  Manage project risks within defined thresholds. Proactively develop & follow-up mitigating strategies

§  Perform quality control activities & manage quality of works so that it is delivered as per specification & meeting functional requirements

§  Monitor project progress & take preventive and/or corrective actions to meet

§  Maintain project records & documentation as per approved procedure

Contracts Administration

§  Review, approve payment certificates submitted by vendors/contractors

§  Ensure compliance to contract/P.O conditions during execution of contract

§  Review change requests & provide feedback to contracts administration team as may be required

§  Prepare project closes out documents as required by procedure

Customer Interface

§  Act as key interface between Tabreed & its Customers during project execution period

§  Attend customer coordination/progress meetings with customer/customer representatives

§  Respond to customer requests on timely manner

§  Liaise/coordinate with relevant authorities to obtain permits required for project execution

§  Keep updated regarding regulatory requirements/permits that are necessary for project execution

Business Process Improvement

§  Participate in lessons learned reviews as per defined procedures

§  Contribute to improve existing business processes

Engineering Review during Project Execution

Provide mechanical engineering support to:

§  Review/approve engineering submittals made by Contractors during project execution & ensure compliance to Tabreed’ technical performance

§  Resolve technical issues that may arise during project execution

§  Contribute to innovation/value engineering activities

Tender Process Management:

Provide mechanical engineering support to

§  Prepare technical tender package for new tenders

§  Obtain feedback from relevant stakeholders (O&M, Customer, HSE etc) on technical tender package & incorporate changes as may be required

§  Perform review of technical submissions by bidders

§  Ensure compliance to technical bids to Tabreed’s Technical Specifications.

§  Review deviation requests as per Tabreed’s internal process

Minimum Qualifications

§  Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with infrastructure experience.

§  PMP certification desirable

Minimum Experience:

§  7+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering & infrastructure works.

§  Experience in managing third party contactors in the execution of projects.

§  Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects.

§  Proficient in using MS office applications (Excel, Power Point, Word etc)

§  Project Management experience in district cooling, industrial or infrastructure projects

§  Engineering principles
